From performing the primary day-to-day prosecution of both securities fraud and consumer fraud class actions to defending companies against claims brought by employees or customers, Mr. Augustus has the important ability to analyze legal matters both from a plaintiff’s and a defendant’s perspective.
Mr. Augustus also represents clients in a wide variety of transactional matters. Such matters range from negotiating employment agreements and the terms of buying or selling a company, to assisting clients in the raising of millions of dollars of private equity funds for their businesses.
A final aspect of Mr. Augustus’ practice is representing clients in investigations conducted by various federal and state regulatory agencies, such as FINRA and the Texas State Securities Board. Such “white collar” representation combines all of Mr. Augustus’ experience in order to understand the criminal, civil, and regulatory implications involved in such investigations.
